Rumor: Jamie is in talks to play in Chichester Theatre's 'Someone Who'll Watch Over Me'

@TheFALLFans: "Jamie Dornan is in talks to make his stage debut in Irish play SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME at @ChichesterFT! #JamieLiveOnStage"

Info about "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" from Chichester Theatre's website:

SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME
by FRANK McGUINNESS
Minerva Theatre10 Sep - 10 Oct 2015
‘We are in a decidedly perilous position, to put it mildly.’
Adam, an American doctor, Edward, an Irish journalist, and Michael, an English academic, have little to unite them beyond being human in the same small space. Yet somehow, together, they determine to ward off madness and forestall despair.
Somewhere lurk their unseen captors yet, in the cell, there are stories of adventure and love, there is song and laughter, and even a surge of writing, cocktail-drinking and movie-making.
Based on the experiences of those taken hostage in Lebanon in the 1980s, Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me is playwright Frank McGuinness’s hymn to the defiant power of the human spirit and the creative imagination. First staged at Hampstead Theatre in 1992, it transferred to the West End before going on to win the 1993 New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Foreign Play.
Director Michael Attenborough makes his Chichester debut. Whilst Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre between 2002 and 2013, his award-winning productions included Measure for Measure and David Eldridge’s The Knot of the Heart. From 1996 to 2002 he was Principal Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
David Haig returns to Chichester to play Michael, following his appearance in Festival 2014’s highly acclaimed Pressure, which he also wrote.

David Gandy Mentions Jamie

Video

at 25:50

TV3 - As well as designing, David revealed that he wants to move into TV and movies in the future, and spoke about why he turned down the chance to play Christian Grey in '50 Shades of Grey', the role that Jamie Dornan ended up taking.

In an interview with Alan Carr on 'Chatty Man', shown tomorrow night (29.05.15) on Channel 4, David said: ''I was approached to talk to the producers and directors and I was sent the script and Jamie has done a great job with that and it took a good actor to be in that role. It was not the right film and not the right time for me.''

Jamie's Emmys Live Chat with Gold Derby

Article

"So many people have said this to me, that you're almost rooting for him to get away with it, which is really weird," says actor Jamie Dornan about his role as a serial killer in the Netflix crime drama "The Fall." "I don't think I want him to get away with it. I don't really have much sympathy for the guy."

Dornan plays Paul Spector, a bereavement counselor in Northern Ireland who appears to be a conventional family man, but in reality is a multiple murderer. "To stay in the head-space of someone who thinks the way he does and acts on the things that he thinks about is tough," Dornan admits.

It was especially difficult in the first season "when there's more of seeing Spector in the act and actually carrying out these horrific crimes … You're with some lovely actress, and you're having to do kind of horrible things to her. I was always very apologetic, and when I was finished I always felt like I needed to get myself as far from that head space as I can."

On the hunt for Spector throughout the series is Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson), but "in the first series, apart from one fleeting moment, we don't have any scenes together really," says Dornan.

He and Anderson do end up crossing paths, however, at the end of the second season, when Spector is captured by police and comes face-to-face with Gibson in an emotionally charged interrogation scene. "What a scene to get to do," he says of filming that confrontation. "I think it's one of the longest scenes in British television history. It was 12 or 13 pages of solid dialogue. I think it runs at 19 or 20 minutes, maybe more than that, which is a long time. It was definitely my favorite day of shooting."

When it comes to the Emmys, voters often gravitate towards likable, empathetic roles, but villains have been more popular than ever in recent years. Consider the multiple awards that have been bestowed on killers like James Gandolfini in "The Sopranos" and Bryan Cranston in "Breaking Bad," not to mention another prominent serial killer, John Lithgow in "Dexter." But Dornan thinks winning awards for his performance is "a very far-fetched idea."

He adds, "Awards are great because you put a lot of work in and you feel proud about what you've done often, and sometimes no one cares, and now and again, certain institutions care, and that's a great thing ... To even be nominated for any of these things is a massive enough deal. I wouldn't even let myself get into the world of what it would be like to win."

Quotes

"I can never relax when I'm playing Paul Spector. Thankfully it's so far from my own personal character."

"What is lovely about that job [The Fall], we shoot it in Ireland where I'm from. All the crew sound as same as me and speak my language. It was nice I feel like being home again."

"I'm a massive fan of Gillian [Anderson]"

"When I had see Gillian in the make-up trailer briefly and be like 'Hey, how is your side of things going?'"

"I've sort of 40 minutes to drive to work [for Jadotville] everyday and on the way back from work today I spoke to Allan [the creator of The Fall, about season 3] the whole way on the car."

"We live a pretty quiet life, my wife and I and our baby."

"I'm trying to take a step back from Twitter and all that because I'm not sure how healthy it is."

"I dont think I want Paul to get away with it. I don't have much sympathy for the guy."

"In 2nd season he says he's incapable love, he says he hates everything and everyone including himself... I argue that he has some sort of love for Olivia, for his daughter, but I don't think he loves Sally Ann, no."

"I'm just happy to be doing good work that people wanna see."

Filming of 'The Fall' Season 3 Will Start in November + New Details

Irish News - FILMING for the third series of The Fall is expected to begin in November.

The hugely popular psychological drama, which is written by award-winning screenwriter Allan Cubitt, has attracted record viewers to BBC Two.

The broadcaster confirmed in March that the series had been renewed, with news yesterday that filming of the intense criminal drama is set to get under way on November 3.

It is thought that filming will once again take place on the streets of Belfast.

The new five-episode series, starring Jamie Dornan as serial killer Paul Spector and Gillan Anderson Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, is expected to be televised at the beginning of 2016.

While Dornan may have become an even bigger star since appearing as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, he is to return for the third series of The Fall.

It is believed the filming schedule has been arranged around the Co Down actor, who has back-to-back movies to film until the end of this year.

Actors John Lynch, Archie Panjabi and Colin Morgan are also expected to rejoin the cast.

The drama is centred on a police investigation into the charismatic serial killer who targets young professional women in Belfast, The new series is expected to pick up from the season two cliffhanger finale with ended with Spector shot and left bleeding in the arms of Gibson.

Viewers saw Gibson cradling Spector in her arms, with speculation that it will bring the story to a close.

However, it remains unclear if Spector will finally be brought to justice.

The second series received less critical acclaim than the first, which premiered in 2013, but it has been a huge hit for BBC Two, providing its highest ratings for almost a decade.

Sarah Gadon Talks About 'The 9th Life of Louis Drax' and Jamie

Transcripted by us

You're also starring later this year in The 9th Life of Louis Drax opposite Jamie Dornan...

Sarah Gadon: "It's about a woman who has Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Half of the film takes place in a little boy's unconscious and the other half takes place in real life. It's a film about perception and I play a very dark, dark woman."

It's quite a contrast to your role as Elizabeth...

Sarah Gadon: "At the end of making the movie I was like, 'I'm so glad I don't have to live in that head space any more.' Because it was starting to really get to me."

You've said you haven't seen 50 Shades yet...

Sarah Gadon: "I'm going to have to see it before we start our press. Jamie is such a great actor and I really enjoyed working with him. He's a wonderful talent."

New Details About ‘Anthropoid’ - Charlotte Le Bon Joins The Cast

From Deadline
Mickey Liddell’s LD Entertainment has boarded as a financier and producer on Sean Ellis’ Anthropoid, starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders).  Also joining the previously announced cast is Charlotte Le Bon (Yves Saint Laurent).
Ellis (Metro Manila) also co-wrote the script Anthony Frewin (Colour Me Kubrick: A True…ish Story).  Principal photography will commence on 13 July 2015 in Prague. The film tells the story of how the Allied forces carried out missions during World War II to assassinate Nazi SS-General Reinhard Heydrich. Nicknamed “The Butcher of Prague”, Heydrich had enjoyed a meteoric rise through the SS ranks and was at the time second only to Himmler and Hitler in the Third Reich’s hierarchy. Trained by British forces, two soldiers from Czechoslovakia’s army-in-exile were to be parachuted into their homeland with a daring assignment: to assassinate the man many saw as Hitler’s natural successor.
Anthropoid is produced by Mickey Liddell (The Grey) and Pete Shilaimon (In Secret) for LD Entertainment, Leonard Glowinski (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) for 22H22, Anita Overland (Rush) and Chris Curling (Hannibal Rising), and executive produced by Jennifer Monroe (Disconnect). Krystof Mucha and David Ondricek of Lucky Man Films are co-producers for the Czech Republic. ICM Partners packaged the film and will be handling the North American sale with UTA. Altitude Film Sales is managing international sales.

From Screen Daily
Charlotte Le Bon has joined Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy on the WWII story that Altitude is selling in Cannes.
Sean Ellis directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Anthony Frewin about the true events surrounding the crack team sent to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich.
Principal photography is scheduled to commence on July 13 in Prague.
“We are delighted that LD Entertainment has come on board Anthropoid as we move towards principal photography in under nine weeks’ time,” said Mike Runagall, managing director of Altitude Film Sales.
“With the film fully financed and pre-production well advanced we will be shortly announcing the final casting for the film.”
“Sean Ellis is an outstanding talent who will bring an exciting and original approach to this incredible story,” said LD Entertainment owner Mickey Liddell, who joins the producer roster.
“We are so thrilled to be working with him and are very excited to see him recreate the terrifying world of occupied Prague with his dynamic and detailed approach.”
Pete Shilaimon also produces for LD Entertainment with Leonard Glowinski for 22H22, Anita Overland and Chris Curling. Jennifer Monroe is the executive producer.
ICM Partners packaged the film and represents North American rights with UTA.

'Adam Jones' Presented at Cannes Market

From Indiewire
Harvey Weinstein delivered a strong slate at this year's Cannes presentation at the Majestic.
He commandeered two jury members to greet the crowd. Jake Gyllenhaal stars in Antoine Fuqua's July release "Southpaw," a fighter picture, which Harvey surprised his staff by announcing they would show (to buyers? to press? no screening is yet slated) at Cannes. He said the film was invited to show in Cannes and because Gyllenhaal is a jury member, they opted not to participate. Todd Haynes' lesbian romance "Carol" (will it be "Brokeback Mountain" for gay women?) and Shakespeare's "Macbeth" starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard are both in competition.

Also on hand was jury member Sienna Miller, who stars in what she admits is a Bradley Cooper vehicle, "Adam Jones," about a rising hard-driving chef who has to learn how to work with his staff, including romantic interest Miller. (The film also stars Omar Sy, Daniel Bruhl, and Alicia Vikander.) It looks strong.

From Variety
Adam Jones
Bradley Cooper played a chef once before (on TV’s short-lived “Kitchen Confidential”), so he looks familiar in an apron as a reformed addict who wants to open a restaurant. If the Oscars gave awards for most eclectic cast, “Adam Jones” would be a frontrunner. The movie re-teams Cooper with his “American Sniper” costar Sienna Miller, who is continuing to make an admirable comeback, alongside Uma Thurman, Emma Thompson and Jamie Dornan (only seen for a second).
Grade: B

From The Playlist
But there was some good stuff too. First up was an extended trailer for "Adam Jones," a new culinary-themed comedy starring and produced by Bradley Cooper, hoping to extend his recent stellar run. A one-time David Fincher project penned by "Locke" writer Steven Knight, it stars Cooper as a hot American chef in London, who having quit the "drinking, smoking and sniffing," sets out to mount a comeback with a new restaurant. Directed by "August: Osage County" helmer John Wells, it's a glossy-looking film that foregrounded some glitzy London locations and the romance between Cooper and his sous chef, Sienna Miller, and it's nice to see the latter getting some proper screen time after being mostly absent in "Foxcatcher" and "American Sniper."

It's not clear if it's going to be the next "Silver Linings Playbook," but it looks like a definite crowdpleaser in the making, and not just because we're fond of cooking-themed movies. Daniel Bruhl, Omar Sy, Emma Thompson, Alicia Vikander, Jamie Dornan, Lily James, Uma Thurman, Sam Keeley and Matthew Rhys also star, and it's opening on October 2nd.

From Vanity Fair
But Don’t Forget About Bradley Cooper
Though Bradley Cooper wasn’t in attendance, it’s clear that the Weinstein Company is also going to go hard on Adam Jones, a London-set chef drama starring Cooper and Gyllenhaal’s fellow jury member, Sienna Miller. From the trailer we saw, the John Wells–directed film seems like one of those Important, Difficult Man movies that Hollywood likes to make. It looks glossy and entertaining—and features an incredible supporting cast, including Jamie Dornan, Uma Thurman, and Emma Thompson—but maybe not quite serious enough to really have a stake in the awards race. Still, we’re plenty intrigued. If nothing else, it will be interesting to see Cooper play a chef again, 10 years after his series Kitchen Confidential ran for one brief season.

Jim Dornan Talks About Jamie with Heat Magazine

Click for HQ

Transcript

Just two weeks ago, thousands of you voted Jamie Dornan as your No1 in heat's Hottest Hunks 2015. But Jamie hasn't got his head around it yet. Seeing as he’s one of the busiest men in showbiz, it's been tricky to pin him down (not in a Fifty Shades way) for a chat - so we asked his lovely dad Jim to give Jamie a call for us.

"I sent Jamie the Hottest Hunks copy to South Africa where he's filming," Jim exclusively tells heat.

"Winning these sort of things doesn't mean an awful lot to Jamie, but I knew he'd be pleased. When I called him, he told me, 'There be must be some kind of mistake!' But that's his usual modest self-effacement coming through.” Jamie's got a lot on his plate this year. He’s currently filming his latest movie Jadotville in South Africa, before he comes back to the UK to start working on series three of The Fall.

And he's got the Fifty Shades sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, to be get on with, too, so understandably Jim thinks his son deserves a rest.

"I hope Jamie will get a break at the end of this summer, they all work so much,” he explains.

"He's out in South Africa for a couple of months, so we've not spoken to him about Fifty Shades [Darker]. It's going to be interesting to see who the new director is (the original director Sam Taylor-Johnson quit in March]. As for The Fall, Jamie got really into the part [of killer Paul Spector]. The first time he was over in Belfast filming, I think I only saw him about twice in six months because he really did lock himself away to get into the role. I watched the first two series and they were really good, but I haven't a clue what happens next." A holiday, we hope...

Sarah Gadon Talks About Jamie and 'The 9th Life of Louis Drax'

Herald Scotland - Gadon also had the enviable task of working with Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul and 50 Shades Of Grey star Jamie Dornan, in thriller The 9th Life Of Louis Drax, due out later this year.

"Jamie's a real family man," says the rising star, who says she hasn't seen the "lovely" Dornan in 50 Shades yet.

"His family was with him while he was working, and for me, that was a big inspiration, to see a family working and travelling [together]."

*****

Daily Mail - Sarah’s second big movie release this year will be The 9th Life of Louis Drax, a supernatural thriller based on the bestselling novel by British author Liz Jensen and co-starring two of the hottest male actors around – Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan, who plays her lover, and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, who plays her husband.

"OK, let’s just get this out there – I’m the luckiest woman in the world," she says blushing. "I have to admit I’ve not seen Fifty Shades yet, but I have watched Breaking Bad. Aaron is just as you would expect – a riot, so funny, engaging and charming, and Jamie was lovely and generous, too. The plot of Louis Drax is pretty dark [it centres on the violent world of a boy who falls off a cliff on his ninth birthday; Sarah plays his mother, Natalie] so having those guys around certainly alleviated the tension."

Marcia Gay Harden Talks About Jamie and 'Fifty Shades Darker'

What was it like working with Dakota and Jamie on this movie?

Marcia Gay Harden: They’re both so lovely. They were just fantastic. I mean obviously I wasn’t in the red room of pain and pleasure so the scenes that we had were like any other scene in any other movie. It was interesting to see what their subtle interaction would be. I happen to know they were holding hands under the table so the question is does Mama Grey know? Can she pick up on it? What does the family see when they are seeing the two of them interacting? They were both very subtle and very lovely. Dakota is very demure and I think she is one of the few people I know that has the ability to blush, so she had this sort of innocence about her. Jamie is a very compassionate person, very funny, very witty. I think that was something lovely that he brought to the character because he could have just been this cold character but I think Jamie brought a lot of his yearning.

I heard you bonded with Rita Ora. Tell us about that.

Marcia Gay Harden: All of the actors bonded. For Jamie and Dakota it was the first time that suddenly a bunch of us were all there together. So there was a complete mix of the group and of course you go out and you have dinner and you bond. Rita is just fantastic and funny and silly. We laughed a lot about her latest video that was out on YouTube. We just sort of poked fun at each other, and that’s always fun. It’s just banter and everybody went out and had a completely fantastic time so that for me was half the fun of it. You’re lucky to be a working actor and you go on location, that’s part of the fun of being on location. Getting to know each other in a way that’s different than getting to know each other on set. So we did that and it was really great. Vancouver was a fantastic place to be.

Are you looking forward to the sequel?

Marcia Gay Harden: Sure. Yes. I have a lot more to do in it; it will be a lot more fun.
