FROM 'THE FALL' TO 'FIFTY SHADES OF GREY'

'I carry elements of him... I would scare myself'

Jamie Dornan tells OK!'s Lizzy Price about carrying anger around, filmin in his homwtown and taking on Hollywood

Jamie Dornan has a lot to thank The Fall for. The Northern Irish star turned his back on modelling and cut his teeth playing Paul Spector in the TV series last year -a brooding counsellor and  family man with a sideline in pervesely murdering brunettes. The drama turned out to be an over night hit, becoming the highest-rated BBC2 drama in 20 years, and landed Jamie the most talked-about role of the year -dapper businessman and S&M enthusiart Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.

"Of course, this job has totally transformed my professional horizons," he laughs at a preview of The Fall's second season, though he's forbidden to talk about Fifty Shades. The Fall - which also stars Gillian Anderson as DSI Stella Gibson - stars with Paul hiding in a Scottish bolthole, plotting his next atrocity as his last would-be victim tries to recall events back in Belfast.

Jennifer Morrison Talks About 'Once Upon a Time' and Mentions Jamie

Regina, however, may be redeeming circumstances by herself by trying to rewrite the "Once Upon a Time" book of stories that seems to predict everyone's fate. If Regina is somehow able to rewrite history for the sake of her happy ending, we asked Morrison who of Emma's former beaus would she want to have a second chance at life.

"I think they should all come back!" Morrison says excitedly. "I feel like Jamie Dornan  was absolutely wonderful. Emma and Graham had a beautiful chemistry that was its own thing. I absolutely loved working with Michael Raymond-James and I feel like Emma and Neal had a chemistry that was different, but absolutely wonderful. Plus, who doesn't want a bunch of hot talented men around?"

'Fifty Shades of Grey' and 'The Fall' Featured in Total Film (November 2014)

50 Shades Of Grey

Bound and gagging for it.

The erotic adventures from the least appropriate book to ever grace a commute to work are nearly here. Dakota Johnson stars as literature student Anastasia Steele who interviews enigmatic billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and gets drawn into his dark world of slap and tickle. While Nowhere Boy director Sam Taylor-Johnson lends the film some credibility, the question remaind: if the BBFC censor the sexy-times, will there be much of a story left to tell?

The Fall

The x-rayed files.

Gillian Anderson promises "an even darker second season" for Allan Cubitt's smartly clammy serial-killer drama: good news for those who thrilled to series 1's Twitter-inciting cliffhanger. With Jamie Dornan's bad-dad Paul Spector still loose and Anderson's driven DSI Stella Gibson in ice-cool pursuit, details from Spector's past emerge as the lives of hunter/hunted entwine. Belfast remains the playground for tha cat/mouse games, but stakes will raise and there will be blood.

Deadline - Canadian actress Sarah Gadon has landed the female lead in The 9th Life Of Louis Drax, the adaptation of Liz Jensen’s best selling novel that Alexandre Aja (Horns) is directing for Miramax. The thriller centers on Louis Drax, a young boy who suffers a near-fatal fall on his ninth birthday. A psychologist probing into the accident is drawn into a mystery that tests the boundaries of fantasy and reality. Gadon has emerged in recent years with striking back-to-back roles in Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral and David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, and won the role of Louis’ mother Natalie in a competitive casting search. She’ll star opposite Fifty Shades of Grey‘s Jamie Dornan as Dr. Allan Pascal and Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul, who is set to play the boy’s father.

First 'The Fall' Season 2 Reviews

From Daily Mirror
The Fall was a rare thing when it aired last year, both critically acclaimed and loved by viewers.
A gripping psychological thriller that saw DSI Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) try to track down a perverted serial killer in Belfast.
On the face of it, Paul Spector ( Jamie Dornan ) was a family man. But in reality he was a murderer who was sexually motivated and able to avoid police detection again and again.
Some viewers complained about sleepless nights and feeling tense after episodes, but it was so gripping they carried on watching nonetheless.
The second series starts 10 days after Spector's last attack, with the girl involved still alive but struggling to cope or help.
Whilst Gibson goes about her work tirelessly, Spector's is in the background as a menacing presence.
Aside from a phone call he barely speaks in the opening 30 minutes, but viewers still know he is very much there, almost like a caged animal.
And fans of hunk Dornan will love the long lingering shots of him contemplating his next move.
With Gibson leading the episode, a scene on a train then kickstarts Spector's action towards the climax.
We may notice change in him in coming episodes, but as DSI Gibson says as she addresses her colleagues: "He is a man who takes his fantasies and turns them into realities."
There are six episodes instead of five this time around. BBC drama boss Ben Stephenson says it has "gone up a huge level". On the basis of the opening episode, he's not wrong.
It is far from comfortable viewing, but it is hugely compelling.
*The second series of The Fall will air on BBC2 this autumn.

'Once Upon A Time' Producers Talk About Their Plans For Jamie's Character

EW: During season three, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed to reporters that they had a plan for Jamie Dornan to return as Sheriff Graham, a.k.a. the Huntsman, who died in season one after Regina crushed his heart. Ultimately, Dornan couldn’t make it work because the actor was busy shooting Fifty Shades of Grey. At the time, the Once bosses couldn’t even reveal their initial plans, and now it’s clear why: Sheriff Graham would’ve appeared in the season finale, which featured Emma and Hook accidentally traveling back in time to the Enchanted Forest that was.

“We wanted a Peggy Sue Got Married moment,” Kitsis tells EW, explaining that Emma would’ve seen Graham when she was locked up in the Evil Queen’s castle.

“He would’ve been one of the guards because it would’ve been during that period,” adds Horowitz. “She would’ve seen him, and it would’ve been heartbreaking for her because she would’ve wanted to reach out to him, but knowing that—because she’s on a mission—she couldn’t. It wasn’t a big plot thing, but it was an emotional moment that we wanted to do.”

So, unless there’s more time traveling in the future, don’t expect to see the Huntsman back anytime soon.

Gillian Anderson is a great actress. She must be, because there is absolutely no way she could possibly be as calm and collected as she appears to be, while being picked up and swung around by a man so incredibly handsome, it is almost absurd.

If she is having the same teenage palpitations as the rest of the Red photoshoot crew in her co-star Jamie Dornan’s presence, then for God’s sake, someone give this woman an Oscar because, honestly, you would never know.
